Welcome to the new site and online home of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Barrie Ontario.

Aside from the clean and spacious training environment, our Martial Arts students enjoy, we also pride ourselves in offering authentic training directly from the source of the Gracie Humaita Academy. The very same started by the founders Carlos and Helio Gracie way back on April 18, 1952.

When we go beyond the sport of BJJ, Jiu-Jitsu is focused on the application of technique and leverage over power to give even the most inexperienced students answers for real-world self-defense. This is the root and basis of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu system taught in our academy.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a great style and one of the world’s fastest growing combat sports, with students and academies opening just about everywhere; great because there are many benefits to the jiu-jitsu lifestyle. We will touch on this more later but what makes us unique is our 100 % focus on the GRACIE JIUJITSU SYSTEM.

Taught in an unbroken chain for generations in the founding family of BJJ or Barrie Martial Arts students now have the benefit of being able to study this amazing art directly under our head instructor, Professorr  Trevor Lewis 3rd-Degree Black Belt and direct student of the legendary Royler Gracie
